About the course

This course is suitable for anyone who may need to use a stepladder in the workplace, or who may have to give guidance to another person on how to use a stepladder.

Course Aims

The aim of this course is to encourage the safe and correct use of stepladders and to train delegates to assess and undertake stepladder tasks in a safe manner in their work environment.

Entry Requirements: 18+ / medical declaration required / fluency in English required for safety reasons

Course Objectives

By the end of this course, delegates should be able to:

  • Identify the correct equipment for the work (ladder/stepladder or other suitable equipment).
  • Demonstrate how to inspect the equipment for damage.
  • Understand the legal requirements of using stepladders.
  • Identify aspects of tasks that could increase the risk of causing injury.
