Overview
Safer at Work is pleased to be able to offer medical assessments at our new medical centre in our Gateshead training venue. Conducted by our freelance doctor Dr Maria Jackson, who has a wealth of experience within the wind industry as well as the wider offshore sector, we have availability for RUK and OGUK assessments every Tuesday and Thursday.
Dr Jackson qualified in Newcastle in 2006 and has worked in the North East since then, providing a range of different occupational medical services to patients over the last two decades. She has performed thousands of GWO occupational health medicals to date and is dedicated to ensuring the health and well being of those working in the wind industry.

You will need to bring government issued ID such as a Passport or Driving Licence with you

If your medical assessment includes a Chester Step test, please make sure you wear comfortable clothes such as gym/workout clothing

If you usually wear glasses, or use reading glasses, please bring these along with you

If any medical conditions such as diabetes or heart disease please let us know when you book

You will need to provide a urine sample. Please make sure you have drunk plenty of water before you arrive and are prepared to provide a urine sample
